Musings from the Bunker 12/20/20

A professor walks into a lecture hall and announces: "If you're here for the lecture on psychokinesis, please raise my hand."

Good morning,

It’s Sunday and time for some words from our President. I believe it is our civic duty to read these words, in the original Middle English, to bear witness and inform others. His followers seem to get their news from him, so we need to understand what he’s telling them. Here we go with some tweets from the past week…

“What a fool Governor BrianKempGA of Georgia is. Could have been so easy, but now we have to do it the hard way. Demand this clown call a Special Session and open up signature verification, NOW. Otherwise, could be a bad day for two GREAT Senators on January 5th. Swing States that have found massive VOTER FRAUD, which is all of them, CANNOT LEGALLY CERTIFY these votes as complete & correct without committing a severely punishable crime. Everybody knows that dead people, below age people, illegal immigrants, fake signatures, prisoners…and many others voted illegally. Also, machine “glitches” (another word for FRAUD), ballot harvesting, non-resident voters, fake ballots, “stuffing the ballot box”, votes for pay, roughed up Republican Poll Watchers, and sometimes even more votes than people voting, took place in Detroit, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, and elsewhere. In all Swing State cases, there are far more votes than are necessary to win the State, and the Election itself. There, VOTES CANNOT BE CERTIFIED. THIS ELECTION IS UNDER PROTEST!”

“Chris Krebs was totally excoriated and proven wrong at the Senate Hearing on the Fraudulent 2020 Election. Massive FRAUD took place with machines, people voting from out of state, illegals, dead people, no signatures—and so much more!”

“Perhaps the biggest difference between 2016 and 2020 is @FoxNews, despite the fact that I went from 63,000,000 Votes to 75,000,000 Votes, a record 12,000,000 Vote increase. Obama went down 3,000,000 Votes, and won. Rigged Election!!!”

“Tremendous evidence of voter fraud. There’s been nothing like it in this country.”

It’s hard to know what to say. The logic is awful, the “statistics” are misleading and the conclusions are absurd. Perhaps this is why the President of the United States’s tweets are often followed by the following:

This claim about election fraud is disputed

I thought it would be fun to share a few of the responses to Trump election deniers from Facebook:

Voter fraud? The moment Louis DeJoy (who was appointed Postmaster General after a $700,000 donation to the Trump campaign) took apart mail sorting machines to delay mail in voting as a favor to Trump was the beginning of voter fraud. When they removed polling places in poor areas of the country was voter fraud. When they allowed only 1 drop off facility in predominantly black areas of Texas was voter fraud. When DeJoy hijacked hundreds of thousands of mail ballots in Democratic areas was voter fraud. Everyone who was an advocate of fair voting raised concerns and the current administration did nothing. Doing nothing was voter fraud. And so now, the people spoke and we have the results we have. Have a nice day!

Widespread fraud! Somewhere. We have the evidence. But you can’t see it. But it’s super widespread and fraudy.

Mercifully, we are heading toward the end game of this sorry attack on our nation…a little over two weeks until the Joint Session of Congress.

Best, Glenn
