Musings from the Bunker 12/27/20

Friends, Today, a single tweet from our president. It says it all. As we all know, Russia has brazenly attacked our government’s national security and defense systems. It has been well documented. Even Secretary of State Mike Pompeo notes that it’s a Russian effort that has been strikingly effective. And yet, here is our president, “leading” again… “The Cyber Hack is far greater in the Fake News Media than in actuality. I have been fully briefed and everything is well under control. Russia, Russia, Russia is the priority chant when anything happens because Lamestream is, for mostly financial reasons, petrified of discussing the possibility that it may be China (it may!). There could also have been a hit on our ridiculous voting machines during the election, which is now obvious that I won dig, making it an even more corrupted embarrassment for the USA.” This is so wrong on several grounds:

  1. Diminishing the severity of this hack, which has been widely acknowledged to have been very bad.

  2. He throws out China as the perpetrator, notwithstanding the findings of his own intelligence services to the contrary, without any justification (I’m not saying they wouldn’t do it if they thought they could)

  3. He again is trying to cover for Russia (what do they have on him?)

  4. He quickly pivots to himself, as he always does, and his perceived grievances and abuses.

  5. He again misstates the result of the election, after multiple recounts, 60 lawsuits (including the Supreme Court) and an Electoral College vote.

We are almost through this travesty. 25 days to go… Best, Glenn
